Ok so Kanye West seriously messed up last year after he decided to jump up on stage with Taylor Swift and announce to the world and her that Beyonce should have won that award for Single Ladies. I was actually watching the show when it happened, and could instantly tell that Mr. West had had a few too many cocktails as he was seen with a bottle of hard liquor in his hand earlier that night. Whether he realized he was doing that or not, it's no excuse to embarrass and humiliate Taylor during her big moment. There is no doubt in my mind Taylor is talented, and deserves to be recognized, but I have to go with Kanye on this one, I think Beyonce was sincerely overlooked for her inventive video that became a utube sensation and the subject of many parodies, including one on SNL with Justin Timberlake that Beyonce herself actually participated in. The song and video are STILL being mimicked by people all over, and it still makes you wanna put ur hands up when it comes on the radio. I think it was a huge injustice for the music industry and I feel Beyonce deserved that award for it's inventive and original video. The dancing in that video was just sick, and Beyonce made u wanna get up and dance with her! So, I just say enough already, I think Kanye has made it painfully clear that he is sorry for what he did and if he could rewind time he would never have done it. But all these songs going back and forth between the two of them, I mean come on, nobody died, nobody got sick, nobody got injured, aren't there more important issues in the world other than Taylor Swift got her feelings hurt because Kanye West drank too much that night? People don't know how to let things go, that's the problem. I hate this example but they beat a dead horse over and over and over and over, and it's just mentally exhausting for the rest of us. It's almost tempting to pull Kanye onto a public announcement spot put Taylor Swift in front of him and say "Ok Kanye, apologize to Taylor and give her a huggy!" It's ridiculous, Kanye's tendencies to piss people off and freely speak his mind are what makes us love him and continue to listen to his music. He's edgy, fresh, and truly doesn't give a rip who likes him or not. Remember when he said to the world that President Bush didn't like black people and poor Mike Meyers who was sitting next to him almost had a heart attack! Well, isn't that what everyone was thinking anyway? God forbid someone actually say it and hold the president accountable for his lack of effort to aide and help the ghettos around the world, I think it's true, but noone ever wants to talk about it. I think Kanye goes overboard sure, like even thinking he could compare himself to Jesus Christ, that was a bit much, and extremely unnecessary. In the end though, Kanye is talented and would be sorely missed if he exited the music scene anytime soon. It would be an unbelievable loss for hip hop and music period. Ok Kanye you're sorry, we get it!
